Our Medical Sheepskin Rug is manufactured to the technologies and standards developed by the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) and industry experts here in Australia, producing a long-life, high-performance sheepskin designed for support and comfort. Each rug contains between 4,000 and 6,000 wool fibres per square centimetre — this dense, individually aligned fibre structure helps distribute the load of the user and reduce pressure. CSIRO studies have found a pressure reduction of more than 50% when lying on an Australian Medical Sheepskin compared to a standard mattress. Measuring 96 to 105cm.

Our products are 100% Australian made. All hides are a by-product of the farming process, sourced sustainably from local farms and produced ecologically at our own tannery in Melbourne, Australia. As a natural product, hides are subject to slight variations in fibre and form.

Washing Instructions

Wash in a washing machine on a gentle cycle using wool detergent, and hang dry in shade, away from direct sunlight.
