Our Double XL Medical Sheepskin Rug is manufactured to the technologies and standards developed by the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) and industry experts here in Australia, producing a long-life, high-performance sheepskin designed for support and comfort. Each rug contains between 4,000 and 6,000 wool fibres per square centimetre — this dense, individually aligned fibre structure helps distribute the load of the user and reduce pressure. CSIRO studies have found a pressure reduction of more than 50% when lying on an Australian Medical Sheepskin compared to a standard mattress. Our Double XL size measures 190–230cm in length, ideal for larger beds or full-body coverage.
